The short version
- We never sell your data, and we never will.
- You don’t need to give us your bank login.
- We don’t keep receipts or statements you upload. They’re deleted as soon as they’re read.
- Pool only uses your data to help you, inside your account.
- You can export or delete everything, any time.
1. Who we are
Subpool is made by Rengised Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. We are the controller of your personal data under UK GDPR.
2. What we collect
Account details: your email, or your Apple or Google sign-in, and your name if you give it.
What you add: subscriptions, prices, dates, categories and notes.
Receipts and statements: if you upload one, we read it once to find your subscriptions, then delete the file straight away, whether or not we find any. We don’t keep copies. We only save the subscriptions you confirm.
Device and usage: app version, crash reports and anonymous usage events, so we can fix problems and improve the app.
3. How we use it
To run Subpool: show your total, send reminders, and keep your data in sync across devices.
To find savings: our savings engine compares your subscriptions with our price catalogue.
We don’t use your data for advertising.
4. Pool and AI
When you chat with Pool, your messages and a summary of your subscriptions are sent to our AI provider to write a reply. They are not used to train AI models. Pool’s suggestions are information, not financial advice.
If a photo or scanned statement can’t be read automatically, it is sent to our AI provider so the charges can be read. It is not used to train AI models, and we delete our copy once it’s been read.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. If you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except where the law says we must keep it.
7. Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data from Profile > Privacy & security. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
